Silent Announcement

Updated: Jun 3, 2019

Fashion photography was never one of my interests. I wanted to be a physiotherapist but graduated as a B.Commerce student. Discovering my passion for photography erupted a dormant and surprising flare. I started to nurture it, feed it with fashion magazines and I have learnt that it plays a gigantic part of everybody's life. It is like looking through a keyhole into our identities. From everyday style to the exquisite glam of weddings, a glimpse of ourself is introduced.

I am a true Gemini (let's not get into the split personality part), I love people. I am not a fashion critic nor a stylist. I take you as you are and portray you as the next best Hebe

I don't prefer a particular style and swear by first impressions do last the longest. One of the best lessons I have learnt from my father is observation. From appearance to body language, it speaks volumes about an individual. I take that silent revelation and work it into my images. So if you do find me staring at you, please do not worry because my mind is only placing you on a double page spread in Vogue magazine.

Certain moments cannot be expressed with words, and most of the time I am terrible with words. Starting this blog was a mind pounding mission, engulfed in millions of ideas. Thats the mind of a Gemini. The past 8 years have been an insightful expedition into the many individuals that make up our Durban community. The vibrant weddings within the Muslim community have moulded this fashion eye within me. My clients know that I am an out of the box interpreter; because being similar is suffocating for a Gemini's mind.

With this interpretation comes simplicity and if the image gets you staring for more than 5 seconds, then thats my job done.

" To me , photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."
